Our Worship Team is a group of skilled, dedicated volunteers who lead the musical aspects of worship on Sunday mornings, ranging from a contemporary worship band to traditional keyboardists, instrumentalists, and vocalists. Most Worship Team members participate in worship 1-2 times per month. The Worship Team practices Sunday mornings from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Contact Jarod Cooley or Pastor Randall if you’re interested.
Our Tech Team includes at least three members in every Sunday service, who operate our sound board, our worship slides on ProPresenter, and our live video streaming. Tech Team members are generally needed from 9 to 11:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Training is available. If you’re interested in being involved, contact Oleg Radchishin or Pastor Randall
The Bethany Choir sings for Sunday worship about 12 times per year, in addition to our annual Christmas Musical, spring Tulip concert, and seasonal services. The choir is open to adults high school age and up, requires no audition, and is a great way to become a part of an instant community. Practices are Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7 p.m. September through early May.
The Bethany Young Voices are a children’s and youth choir for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. They sing for our annual Christmas Musical, spring Tulip concert, and for Sunday morning worship three or four times per year, and no audition is required. Parent involvement is encouraged. Practices are Wednesdays from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. September through early May.
The Bethany Bells is directed by Armin Mohr. They ring our five-octave set of Schulmerich English handbells, along with a corresponding set of choir chimes. In addition to ringing in our annual Christmas Musical and spring Tulip concert, the Bethany Bells participate in Sunday worship about four times per year. Practices are Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. September through early May.
Our Special Concerts during the year include our annual Christmas Musical—a free concert held one weekend in December—which has been Bethany Covenant's gift to the community for many decades. It features our Choirs, Bells, and Worship Team, with the addition of a chamber orchestra and drama. Our Tulip Concert takes place one Saturday in April during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, presented by our Choirs, Bells, and Worship Team.
Our Contemplative Services are opportunities for a quieter form of worship and prayer. They include Taizé at Bethany—using the songs and prayer tradition of the Taizé Community in France—and special services like our Baroque Vespers and Celtic Vespers. These services are scheduled several times in the fall and spring, usually the third Sunday of the month at 6 p.m.
